Pet Grooming
Grooming Agenda
Step 1: Set up your Pet’s Appointment
Your pet is unique. Even within the same breed no dog is the same as another. Chat with us via text message or phone call to set up your dog’s first appointment. By taking the time to get to know your dog, we’ll receive significant information such as your dog’s behaviour, breed, coat and coat condition and weight. This will put us in a better position to not only customize a spa treatment that’s most beneficial to your dog’s type, but also to estimate the amount of time and cost to complete your dog’s haircut and spa experience.
Step 2: Intro, Prep and Bathing Session
When your dog has been dropped off, we always allow them to scope the entire shop and the entire crew. That means your dog is in a roam-free shop which encourages them to feel comfortable in their new environment. Before we bathe your dog, we first prep them by gently trimming their nails, shaving their paw pads, and checking for mats. Once this process is complete, we then give your furball friend a clean, refreshing bath. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure not to get any soap in their eyes, and we’ll be extra diligent in checking your dog’s skin before selecting which shampoo is best for their fur. The bathing process can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 mins.
Step 3: Blow out and Drying Session
After the bath, we dry your dog’s fur through a combination of tradition and technology. Please note, and we do take full pride in this special service — we do not kennel-dry whatsoever. We have zero closed kennels in our commercial shop. We first hand-dry their coat with a warm hand towel before speeding up the process with a high-velocity blower and a stand dryer that helps produce heat. The blow dryer is especially important since it helps remove any dander, undercoat, and dead hair that may have stuck to your dog’s skin during the bath. We have trained and well-aware groomers and bathers that keep a close eye on the temperature of our dryers. Then we finish off with fluff drying your dog fur to fluff perfection.
Step 4: Style and Finishing Touches
When your dog is clean and dry, we then commence with the final trim, style, and brush-out. If your dog is a shorthaired breed, a brush-out is all that’s necessary; if your dog is a long or curly-haired breed, its coat will need to be cut and styled. Usually this decision will be made during step #1 when you meet your groomer; however, that can change if your dog is severely matted or contaminated by fleas. If one of these circumstances should take place, we’ll make sure to inform you of the situation before proceeding with the cut.

A typical hand-strip usually takes about 1-3 hours to complete depending on the frequency of visits. Hand-strip clients are strongly recommended to come in every 4-6 weeks. Check out our regular client prices in the ‘Special Services’ section below.
